Tenth Annual Legacy Awards Luncheon Postponement

A notice from the Rankin/ Mon Valley/ Pittsburgh Section of NCNW, Inc. Legacy Luncheon Committee:

The safety and security of our members and guests is our highest priority. Although currently there are no reported cases of the coronavirus in Allegheny County, in light of Governor Wolf’s recommendation to cancel or postpone events with 250 or more participants, we have decided to reschedule the Tenth Annual Legacy Awards Luncheon which was to be held March 21st at the Doubletree Hotel in Monroeville.

We recommend you keep your ticket in a secure location. All tickets will be honored when our event is rescheduled. The date has yet to be determined. As we gain more information we will reach out to you with the new date.

Delores Dupree

Delores Dupree is a charter member of the Rankin/Mon Valley/Pittsburgh Section of the National Council of Negro Women. The positions she has held within the Section are: Second Vice President/Membership Chair; Chairperson of the Annual Legacy Awards Luncheon; and was elected President of the Section in June of 2016. She will strive to grow the Section and promote the mission of the National Council of Negro Women.

Delores realizes that the fight for freedom, justice and equality is constant and, in that light, gave testimony in front of the Arts Commission advocating the removal of the racist Stephen Foster statue from public display in Pittsburgh’s Oakland area. We have many barriers to hurdle, and she encourages other women and men to join in the struggle. Any support given will be appreciated.
